So.. If you can hire bodyguards for a price, why not "win" bodyguards or "sell" yourself as a bodyguard and call them slaves?
For example:
If I'm completely out of turns or gold, I can sell myself as a slave for a day to whomever would purchase me. I'd be basically sharing my armor and weapon with my master for any fight they encounter, and in return, I get a bit of the exp points and gold they win. They would get a few extra forest fights, and I would lose a few.
How you'd "win" a slave is simple, as well:
The winner of a PVP fight, if they chose to offer slave status to the loser (players who opt to become slaves when they've been beaten in the fields have checked the "slave" option in their preferences prior to any fight. They can opt not to, in which case they die & lose a portion of exp points as it is now) gets the majority of the benefits. The winner would gain all that they would as a master who 'bought' a slave. Additionally, the loser may have to provide the winner with a percentage of their gold during the next game day.
