The forums open in a new browswer window, so if you're taking longer than 10 minutes in here, just alt+tab and hit a non-fatal key to reset the timer. Or just refresh the square real quick.

Otherwise, to prevent timing out, submissions to the forum would have to be counted in the game DB as an action; The forums would have to be linked to Player accounts directly; Checks would have to be made to see if you're logged in to both. It seems possible, but could invoke chaos immesurable trying to make it work.

Actually, it's not possible since this forum is shared by three disparate game databases.

It's also not something we'd want to do, game timeouts occur independant of the user's session specifically because we want people who are not actively playing the game (this includes foruming) to become logged out. Hit the inn if you're going to forum for a while, or alt-tab and click now and again otherwise :-)

It's indeed possible, I did it in a project to link an online shopping with phpBB to share the same user data (i.e. login just one time).

But... I will never do that again! So, I strongly suggest to let this forum apart from LOTGD internal code. Otherwise, this forum won't be easily updatable and any new bugs discover in this version of phpBB will stay forever, besides another coding troubles difficult to explain.

Dargh, follow Kether's hint to ALT+TAB every 9.99 minutes and refresh the village square.

Better yet, deposit your money and quit to the fields (to visit me :) )
