Buffs vs. Trainers

How about using buffs (i.e. regen, skelly attack, backstab) against trainers? Would this make leveling too easy, or does this idea have merit? Flame away.

This actually used to happen for awhile on the dragoncat server (accidental bug, i think.) It made it much to easy to beat the master, however.

Levelling isn't supposed to be easy - there is supposed to be some challenge involved (which is why it's not automatic).

If ye allow temorary modifiers to the master fight, it stops being a true test of your skill (Yoresh is still difficult even after a while) and defeats the point of being there...

buffs against trainers make it too easy unless the master has heaps more HP, anyway wouldnt want to waste them on them :)

I think you should be able to use buffs against Yoresh and... Dwiredan, they seem to be my toughest master :x

Nope, the masters are designed to be defeated "straight up" as it were. Permitting buffs would trivialize them for sure.

well there is always the ale to increase HP if the master does become a pain :)
