How about some new character classes?

For instance:

Class: Paladin
Buffs:
1. Lay on Hands - Heals x% of hp in 1 round
2. Warcry - Monsters have reduced attack/def ability per char level for 5 rounds
3. Summon Warhorse - Gives bonus to horse damage for 5 rounds or if no horse owned, gives player a steed for 5 rounds
4. Godly Armor - Damage taken reduced to a maximum of 5 points per round for 5 rounds
5. Divine Intervention - +100 atk/def for 5 rounds

OR

Class: Monk
Buffs:
1. Power Strike - +atk for 5 rounds
2. Meditation - Monk regenerates 2 hp/level for 5 rounds
3. Flurry - Equivalent of having an extra attack each round for 5 rounds (for code purposes it would be sort of like skelly crew except the player would make the attacks instead of minions)
4. The Wind is my Armor - Enemy unable to attack for 5 rounds
5. Quivering Palm - Strike opponent for 1/4 of their current HP for 5 rounds

Thoughts? Comments? Flames? Fire away!

At least try to paraphrase the 3E rules. Not that all of those are bad ideas..

Two comments really...
1. These cannot be done with the existing code base, they would have to be written on their own, they would also require database changes
2. Balance issues - just look at divine intervention, that would cause a first turn flawless dragon kill

Well, those 2 were examples I just threw out there really, but I understand the problems of having to rewrite the database. I'm assuming it is the same with races as well?

For all suggestions, keep in mind that game balance is a very important part of all design decisions for lotgd... there will be no overpowering effects without just as overpowering side effects...
As for the races, if you can think of a balanced, roleplayable race with a good ability, fire away...

Actually, none of these would require database changes, but would require changes to the buff system.

Specifically, summon warhorse, godly armor, wind is my armor and quivering palm would require enhancements to the buff system to accomodate.

how about this?

Class: Archer

Buffs:
Multi-Arrow: increases attack by 0.5 for 3 turns
Fire arrow: arrow deals double damage (1 turn)
Ice arrow: arrow deals 0.75% damage, but has a chance of freezing enemy for 1-3 turns
Earth arrow: arrow deals regular damage and summons vines to entangle the enemy for 1 or 2 turns.
Divine arrow: deals 3-5 times damage as regular attack (1 turn)

also, a new race suggestion (I don't know if it's on another server)

Race: Night/Dark elf

buff: chance of being hit reduced by 10% or maybe 20-25%
