What's the preferred prize for an in-game contest?

Gems?
Gold?
Lodge Points?
Temporary Custom Titles?

Combinations of the above?

Something else? (in-game stuff that I can edit only, please) :)

How about a permanent title? Temporary titles are fun and all, but after a short time, its gone for good.
If not, gems are always good, and lodge points could be handy, especially if it gets you close to a title at 5k. ;)

I could probably swing a permanent title as a grand prize.

And I could give a choice of gems or lodge points to appease both requests.

Any would do. I'd say a permanent title, but my mind changes so much, I'd drive you admin nutts seeing if I could change it. @.@

I tend to give donator points as prizes for the few internal game contests I've run.

I feel that gives the players the most flexibility :)

And if they get enough points, the title the get through the lodge is permanent, so :)

I like the idea of a Custom Title for a grande prize..though I also like the idea of the choices of points or gems...though personally I would probably go for gems out of those two choices. Mainly because all I want out of lodge points are a custom title, colors, and maybe some extra forest fights..Since I seem to be short a couple since a purchase I made :? . So to sum up My rambling..gems, gems, gems...or a custom title.-Seems Mitsuko's not the only one who has a rapidly changing mind.

Gems are nice but not everyone has uses for gems (see the other people around the forum complaining that they've got too many gems)... unfortunately the same people who wouldn't need more gems are the people with titles already (for the most part) so whatever...

I vote for an option of gems or a temporary title...

A little of both. I'm sure I can come to an agreement with the winner. I'm usually flexible about things.

Something that would be easier to do for the small contests would be to have a coloured name as a reward - cheaper than a custom title so that it could be permanent.

I'd like to see a choice of prizes as with our gang - McD and Dirk don't need gems but the rest of our gang could do with them.

with a custom title .

Gems are nice. But me-thinks Lodge points do the most justice. Permanant title was a good idea too.

Voratus gave me the idea (and the how-to) for Limited-Edition Mounts.

These would be special mounts unavailable for sale in the stables.

Does that sound like a good reward/status symbol?

That actually sounds great, so long as it doesn't give anybody any kind of unfair advantage. Now if we can just convice LadyPhoenix and Moonchilde to run some contests on dragoncat. :P

There be one on the Alpha server... but there also be a MightyE in the Stables on the Alpha so things may well be balanced differently...
