i was thinking about if the creators can implement a random item generator, which is made from gems and gold.
the item can be kept after DK's but has level restrictions so that when u back at lv1, u need to wait till ur higher level to use the elite weapon/item

It'd be horrific to try and balance the items... I prefer the other idea of using gems and gold to make items which can be given as presents to other players.

This also presumes the existance of an inventory, which the game doesn't have. Yet.

An inventory would be a big change... I'd be worried that it would change the feel of the game unless it was used to aid roleplaying as mentioned in the buying special items thread... It could backfire if it was used to change basic gameplay things as the attraction of the game lies in part in it's unusual interface and style...

I'm not sure how I feel about the inventory option. I sorta like the simplicity of the game as it is. That's one of the main attractions it holds.

yes it will complicate the game, but it also adds incentive to keep playing LOTGD. the main problem i c would be the creators making the items TOO elite.

Ah yes, but what was most people's reaction upon seeing the Wyvern in the stables - high costs can be reached if ye save enough...

Happy Belated B-day Sneak! There is nothing wrong with playing to much D2. But i do think that elite items would complicate the game.
