I wish that there was a list for how many Bounties soneone had set, or how much money total had been put on someone's head to this point-- perhaps on the Hall of Fame. I think it would be interesting to see.
As well, I would love to see in Dag's shop who set the bounties against each player. I think it would add to the game a bit, not sure how hard it would be to code.
Admins can check on who set a bounty - but we think that if players had that info there would be a lot of revenge killings for setting bounties.
Anonymous bounties prevents that.

Also, the information expires from the bounty table over time (or will if it doesn't already -- cannot remember if I added that :)) and so after a while some information will get 'lost' so we couldn't really do a hall of fame of 'most bounties ever', unless I added another stat to track that, which really I'm loathe to do just for a hall of fame thing.
Sorry :)
[JCP already address the anonymous bounty issue, so I'm not going to comment further other than to say I completely agree with him :)]

BAD prefer the discreet bounty system... for various reasons.

Yeah, actually the only reason I was suggesting this was to encorage such specifc killings instead of the random PvPs.

I'd prefer to see the random PvP's than someone continually killing someone for 2 weeks in a row for placing a bounty.
Sorry, I see your (and other people who have asked for non-anonymous bounties) point, but I still disagree that making that change would make the game better. I believe it would lead to less use of the bounty system overall.

Cool, and thanks for the feedback.
I do use Dag, and personally it is to my advantage that people can't see I am schemeing on them. While I think it would be an interesting dynamic for them to see who or why they are being handed to the bounty hunters, I can appreciate the reasons not to add this.
