Double New Day at New Year's

On the first New Day on the Central Server after New Year's, many people experienced a "Double" New Day. The timestamp for the first of these complaints is [01/01 06:30].

The most detailed complaint was:
"I logged on to a new day then after about my 3rd fight it "new dayed" again."

I didn't get a Double New Day, but that may be because I had been in the Graveyard on the previous day and the New Day resurrected me.

The mightye.org server also had a similar problem. I couldn't pinpoint it, but the new day seemed to happen at the wrong time.

This is probably some strange artifact of the math that ME does to track the changes in the date. ME will probably look at it after he gets back from his vacations.. *I* try to avoid messing with the date math :)

Eek, that newday code is a hack. You actually have to *counter* daylight savings in the date math since the PHP date functions take daylight savings in to account (or is this an OS call? I have no idea).

I thought I really had it all worked out now, lol. If I run out of ideas some day, I'll check this out and see if I can reproduce it, but it seems like a bug that will occur only once a year can be rather back-burner for the next 11 or so months :-D
