Venting Frustration

OK, is it just me or is it very difficult to level in this game when you first start. Granted I only began playing yesterday, but I keep getting my ass handed to me by wandering girl scouts. It's not only frustrating, it's downright embarrasing

It took me almost two months to beat the dragon when I first started.
Yes, it gets easier as you DK. You should notice a big difference after you DK. Getting a good mount helps a bunch, too.

Once you learn to play the game (get your own playing style down) it seems to happen much faster. I know my first real DK in LotGD took me about a month of game days. Now I can join a game as a farmgirl and make it in a much shorter time (though I'm known to dawdle, since on most servers there's no way I can become #1 player, so DK speed isn't important.)

I dwadle much, much too much, but yes. It does get a lot easier, even for me. ^.^()

Part of the fun of LoGD for me has been learning how to play the game. There are quite a few minor intracies found throughout the game, and becoming "good" requires you to learn a lot -- all of which is pretty much undocumented.

The exploration and discovery of this game has kept me playing for quite a few months now :D

Seriously, though, that's the main reason we don't want "secrets" exposed in the comments. Discovering things is a major part of the game.
