View Full Version : What's the difference in creatures?

Hello :D

I only have one character on one server (development) and I have a Griffon. The Griffon gives me 80 rounds of "Griffon Claws" which are powerful attacks, per combat round, doing ~90% of the damage I do to a given creature.

Trolling these boards, I see other players using Wyverns (which I don't see available to me in the stables) and Unicorns and other Familiars/Horses/Magical Creatures.

Are there pros and cons to each type of companion available from the Stables?

Regards,
Feyn

The answer to the pro/con question is yes. Each mount has something different to offer.

As to availability, that all depends on the server. For instance: The Phoenix on Dragoncat is much different than the Phoenix on Central. Same with the Wyvern. It really all depends on what the Admins prefer.

Many of the mounts you can buy are created by whoever is hosting the site you are playing in, and are available only there.

In every case, the different creatures do provide different benefits. Usually the only way you'll find out is to try them, although some Admins in different servers are willing to share their mount's benefits.

Mounts are specific to each server. It is up to the server admins to create them and determine their availability. In the three official servers, mounts might share names, but it is not a good idea to expect mounts of the same name to be the same. As for admins sharing the mount properties, that is a possibility, but not very likely to apply to the official servers  As it is, each mount is meant to offer a different set of abilities, balanced either by it's price, or some handicaps. Whether you will draw benefits from a certain mount depends very heavily on your playstyle, and on how many dragon kills you have. Depending on the mount, some may even be more trouble than you'd think at certain situations.

the griffon on the development server is much more powerful than anything on central. I would say it's much more powerful than anything on dragoncat too but I ave no idea what the LadyPhoenix does and I don't think I have the gems and money to try it out anytime soon either ;)

I doubt it's better than the LadyPhoenix mount. *snicker*

Well Sneak, you have not tried the Dark Dream Dragon on another server I play on. It cost 2500 gems and 200,000 gold. Lets just say it rocks ...BIG! : )

   , it will take ages just to get 200 000 golds alone, let aside the whooping 2500 gems guys.
By the way, what is the url for that server Mort and McD are currently playing

if it's the server I think he's not being greedy. it's just not a public server.
