Just curious, but I know a lot of people roleplay, and in a lot of different ways. I was just wondering what kind you do and for how long. Mine's gonna look kinda low compared to your guys' though...

I've roleplayed on IM for 5 years.
I've roleplayed in 3 (semi)successful MessageBoard RPGs
Erm...I've been playing on LoGD for about 2-3 months?

AD&D for a number of years during high school, V:TM for several years after that (until I got completely burned out), and thats been essentially it.
I don't really consider LotGD roleplaying (with one server exception) since so many of the people who try it, just aren't good at it (confusing ooc and ic, making up silly stuff that is nowhere even in the game "universe", etc)

Hey, that's me.

I don't roleplay out of game or even much in game (I don't think anybody cares to remember my stance on roleplaying) but I do have a funny story I do pull out when people talk about it. I'm referring to the top post.

It'll be neat to have a completely in-character day sometime.

I'm not familiar with V:TM. What is it, Voratus?

V:TM is Vampire: the Masquerade. One of the "World of Darkness" campaign settings from White Wolf.

Lets see .....

AD&D - lots
Champions -lots
BattleTech - lots
BloodBowl (if you consider this roleplaying) -good amount
Top Secret -some
Villians and Vigilantes - little
Gamma World -some
Traveller - some

And a little of a lot more. I agree with the others, this game is not really roleplaying. I mostly play PC RPG's now, I have hung up my dice a pencil.

AD&D back in 1990/91. It was the only entertainment for the staff of Nature's Classroom stuck out in a country town and living on camp.

MajorMud from 1996-2001, even beta tested mod 9 for them.

LOTGD since Nov last year.

HEY SNEAK ... is that a picture of you? Is that what you look like? :?:

Well, I sometimes play The Sims Online. Does that count? 8)

No, I'm really not much of a role-player. My natural self is just so darn fabulous I see no reason to be anyone else.

Laugh ... how people can tell the intonation of a voice behind a line of text is beyond me. There actually was no "horror", just curiousity, wonderment and WOW there's a face behind all that BAD intent.

Hey Mitsuko,
I used to RP a lot in Yahoo! chat, and then got a bit more serious and started WW role playing. I'm not sure that LOTGD inspires me to 'role play' in the way I'm used to, but it is a nice place to socialize under a different guise, do some silly things...things I wouldn't normally do when chatting.

To be perfectly honest, I was never much into RP in the way most people know it. With certain friends of mine, we all just put on whatever character we fell like and do improv. It's very similar to what goes on in the Gardens on Central - almost like creating an interactive performance piece online.

I roleplay as often as possible. It is easier for me because I'm writing a book and my character is the main person in the book, which means most of her strengths and weaknesses are decided, and her past is set. :D

On lotgd some, though i dont get a chance to roleplay on lotgd since noone seems to roleplay anymore.

I have rp in closed groups and in public communities for about 3 years.
