I just ran into the same bug with two different specials on DragonCat.
The first was Lonestrider, the second was the Dark Horse Tavern.
In both cases I was given the normal options for the special, but additionally I was given the normal forest options (ie. Go Slumming, search for something to kill, go thrillseeking, etc). I didn't try to short cut out of killing the theives (as I need gold and didn't want to loose my gems) but I did short cut out of the dark horse special without any problem...

The Dark Horse should allow you to go back to the forest without entering the Tavern every time. It's part of that special. That shouldn't be an option with Lonestrider, though. Thanks, I'll let JT know about it, too, in my own way. ;-)

the DHT usually has enter tavern and exit tavern options, not the normal forest options LP.
don't know what's going on on dragoncat but I know MightyE was working on the navigation system on alpha last night. this might have something to do with that...

I have also seen a couple of other specials with this problem, but the problem hasn't shown up every time I've gotten each special... For example I got the Dark Horse Tavern later in the day with only the normal options...

I've seen it quite a few times too... The ones I remember are Foilwench, The stream, and the trail. When I caught it last night on Foilwench, I tried hitting (L)ook, and it (I believe) caught that as a badnav, because it sent me right back to foilwench, this time with only the two normal options...
So It's at least only a display glitch, and not exploitable (to avoid Lonestrider for instance)

It's fixed now. it was a side effect (bad) of some code which MightyE had written yesterday and which hadn't been fully tested. Dragoncat has been pulling these changes up quicker than central because I'm a glutton for punishing my players :)
Seriously, without real players some of the bugs would get missed, so I make you all sometimes unwitting guinea pigs in the name of a better game long-term.
