How about an option to go dungeon delving once a day? The mechanics would be similar to Travelling, but with as many opponents in a row as your level (minimum 3), split into slumming/normal/thrilling categories and with a suitable treasure at the end, if you survive that long?

Check out the post " Thrillseekers paradise" by Hermanathor on page 2 on Feature Requests, its almost exactly like your idea...

I didn't think it was that similar. The Thrillseekers Paradise was suggesting a random encounter with a chance to win big by taking on two higher level opponents without a break.

My suggestion would have a planned encounter with vast array of opponents - a 9th character would, for example, face three level 8 opponents, three at level nine and three at level 10. Quite a bit tougher but worthwhile if the payday for the successful 'delver' is commensurate with the risk.

I'd prefer the idea of proper planned dungeons.... say with riddles and traps to be evaded. First person to get to the end of the dungeon (and defeat a boss) gets some nice stack of gems or something, then it closes.

Another thought would be "make it similar to travel"...

basically, have dungeons be a series of encounters, without the chance to return and re-heal etc. At the end could be a thrillseek-type "boss" encounter and more loot.

I would propose as a balancing factor that you can't bring your mount into the dungeon, to increase the danger.

You might also limit dungeons to a few times a day... or have it replace a PVP.

i dont think battling for a prize at the end is such a good idea, since people like McD can easily get the prize without breaking a sweat. but thats my stupid opnion, besides that i think its a great challenge

it could be set where the more DKs your have the harder it is such as for every 5 dks your set back 10 Hp or something

I reckon a couple of clans's be able to take him on......

But yeah, you can scale monsters os even a Farmie would have a chance. And the riddles be neutral (as would the traps).
