BLOODDRAGON
05-20-2004, 01:24 PM
Every action has a reaction. think about that simple princible take it out of it usual context and apply it to your actual LIFE. Your ACTIONS as a bieng. That which you DO defines YOU. Its no coincidence that "Human Being" includes the conjuntion of the verb "To Be". Ours is a reality of process, ACTION is Life, INACTION is DEATH. So your specific actions will not only define you but they will define your reality. It is our mission to bend the rules of reality with our actions and thus redefine who we are, what is real, and what is possible through the act of LIVING. This is the code upon which all magic is based.
The main purpose of this game is to hunt The Green Dragon. But its not as easy as it sounds, but when the time is right you shall know when your chosen to best this beast.
This guide is to help you, not walk you through step by step, EXPLORING is the basis of this game and even gods learn something new every day.

Races:
Elfs- Glorfindal - + Defense (not plus one. It is a bonus to your existing)
Humans- Romar - + Forest Fight
Dwarfs- Qexelcrag - More Gold Per Kill
Trolls - Glukmoore - + Attack

Familiars, Mounts & Summons- (only certain mounts can be boughten at certain DK levels. Not all mounts are available at BOTH stables and not all are available every day.)- The most expensive mount is not the best one for YOU. If you have less than 25 dragon kills FORGET THE ETTILE AND GRYPHON. (Saucy tells SO many people this. They ignore her and save up for them anyway. They are causing themselves damage. Other mounts are much better if you're under 25 dragon kills. Try the mounts that cost 50-100 gems.) Generally, the more expensive the creature, the better it is (but ONLY if you have the right stats for it. See Saucy's comment about the Ettile and Gryphon above). You can also feed your pet if it tires out but i would not uggest feeding it if you only have 1 or 2 forest fights left, thats a waste of money. there are also mounts that do nothing but give you free travel, and possible some that giveve you att/def +/- AND free travels...
Buffs - Things that affect your stats (usually they are temporary). They will appear at the bottom. Things like Crazy Audrey, drinking Ale, and specials can affect your buffs. There are many buffs that you can use and they are all unique.

Hitch Hiking - Out of free travels? Out of Forest Fights? Stuck in that darn racial city you just cant stand, if you want, you can hitch hike with a group back to Degolburg, ( note you must be out of FFs, travel, and be in a racial city to hitch, and you can only go to the capital) You will owe them some errands in the morning resulting is a lost forest fight and start off with a bit less hp such as: 133/166 also when yuo hitch hike there is a posibility that you could travel with a "bad posse" and end up dead or hurt (its rare though, i dont want you to be scare of hitch hiking)

There are some others including Storm Giant blood, you can see them all if you click Describe Points.
PVP (Player vs. Player) - This is one factor that you can either hate or love, why the rewards and the consequences... i would suggest that you only attack an onponent you know 80% you ether have a equaly chance to win or that you can blow them out of the water. And you can be attacked also by someone when you log off, thogh your safer in the inn your not guaranteed to always win but the inn does help in tight spots. you can only be killed once a game day BUT if you log back in after you have logged out, you are resurected and your open game again, so logging in every hour or so to check your mailbox or talk with yoiur friends is not going to get you anywhere.
If you have NEVER attacked and NEVER burned a blue candle, you can opt out of PvP in your preferences.
(Note:
For Central & Alpha:You are immune from a PVP attack from another player if you have under 1500 experiance or until your 5th game day or until you attack someone.
For Dragoncat: You are immune from a PVP attack from another player if you have under 1500 experience or untill your 3rd game day or until you attack someone.)
clans - Theres alone one thing i can really say, join a clan that you know you get along with the people in that clan, i have seen people enter a clan because it has a cool name or that its really big and they end up leaving. But clans can be a BIG aid to you and any questions you may have.
GEMS - Somethings can only be purchased with gems, familiars and mounts for example. you can find gems lying in some places in the forest: where?- you'll find out; when?- when god wills it. You will find gems quite handy in some special events, some event you just waste gems or even lose them, you decide whats worth gems and whats not.
Death and Resurection - so what happens when you die? you end up in shades ruled by Ramius, though he sounds like a tough negotiator you can grease his palm to return to the land of the living, but is it worth resurecting? lets say you die in the forest: that 10% experience lost and then you resurected, and then when you log off your killed in the inn or fields and you lose 5% and for the day you lost 15% of your total experience. Its most likely you lost more that you gained, but if you think you can best your attacker in the night you decide if the resurection is worth it. or you can get a cozy spot in your grave SAFE from attackers and wait for the next new day.
Titles - to earn a different title you must slay the Green Dragon a certain number of times ( after you reach the title god after every DK hyour title will only be God thats the final title but you can still DK)

Do's and Dont's -------------------------------------------------------------------
- dont get caught up in forest fights to the point you just repeatedly click "fight" so that you can get the fight over with, its a good way to lose track at how much HP your losing and before you know it, your dead
- a penny earned is a penny saved... even if its only 3 gold, put it in the bank, it adds up after awhile
- take SAFE chances if a person your dk amount & level has a bounty on them go for it but make sure you can stand a chance against them, "what good is the bounty if your dead?" (it is usually not safe if you're under 10 dragon kills.)
- get a daily routine and STICK TO IT and if that routine isnt working out, dont be afraid to try a differant one, also know that one stategy wont work for all levels ya gotta "Mix it up yo!"
- whats worth more, your life or a few gold, if your getting low in HP run for it, heal and try again
-you achieved the certain amount needed to resurect, but you still have a few torments left over, USE THEM! and gain a little bit extra favor incase you run short next time also if your on your last torment, and your about to die dont run youll lose favor and nothing happens when you die except you lose the rest of your torments and since that was your last torment, you lose NOTHING!
- yes it is worth the extra hike back to the bank, even though its easier to pay from bank to get a room in the inn it saves a lot of money in the long run to just go to the bank and pay him in cash
- use the 3 free travels, theres the possibility that you could incounter a monster which means more gold/ exp after you used up for FF,
example:
your in glorfindal, out of FFs, you have 3 free travels, go to "Slay other player" so see whos where, lets say theres 2 in glukmoore, 5 in Degolburg 2 in the Inn, and one in romar, first go to degolburg ( most likely you will find 3 people to PvP since ther are 7 people in there) then glukmoore, and probably back to you home city if you have about 80% filled bar or more that way you can easily level next new day -or- if you have under 80% go to Romar, ( unless you have no PvPs left then just go to your home city)
Dragon: Once you are ready, you will know that the dragon is waiting for you. She moves from cave to cave. You have a certain number of tries, to find her, each day. Talk to the gypsy, if you are ready, because she can help you see the dragon.
But most important: Eat your veggies every day!
