It would be possible to bribe Dag to know who was the (lots of beeps here) which puts the bounty? I think it will increase the money/gems bleed... and put the village on fire heheh!!

Sorry, this isn't going to happen.
The entire reason for this being anonymous is so that it provides a way for the lower level players to 'incentivize' other players to go attack the big guns. Making this information discoverable by players would just lead to vendetta and grief. Not going to happen. Not now, not (in my opinion) ever.

Actually, Id like to be able to Bribe dag and get the bounty off of my head!!! Like say give him a little more than half the money that is on you head, and he erases your name.... Oh well, good idea while it lasted....

Seems like everyone kills everyone else anyway; I'm not sure why people would take being bountied any more seriously than being killed. (That is to say "who cares who kills you, likewise, who cares who bounties you... they'll both happen.")

You fail to understand how the higher ups think.... if you're in the Inn you're only really a target if you have the most experience *or* if you have a bounty on your head. For examply, normally I'd avoid having a go at the angelic ranks (having low HP) but if there is a bounty on them it increases their chances of getting killed pretty much to certain. Hence a bounty attracts the attention of the most powerful, ensuring *speedy* kills (so they don't get much defensive experience if any). Hence Bounties are still good ways of getting people killed fast.... (hope that made sense, I'm a bit tired.)

I may be way off base but I pretty much look at it as:
"Who's the toughest guy I can take?" If I'm a Throne, I'll take a swat at an Emperor. If I'm a God, it makes more sense to take on Titans, but if there aren't any around I'll slay whomever. Bounties are a motivation, sure... but simultaneously, past level 7 or so the Gods are all maxed on equipment, so no point in bountying folks in order to motivate them.

Um, actually your failing to realise how Gods play again. I'm only a Power right now, but i have a RL friend who is a God, and more often than not, Gods dont max out on armour and weapon. Its a vary rare occasion that they do.(Some Gods may correct me here if they have a different playing style).
Sometimes i get to level 6 with only 1 weapon, 2 armour.
This time through however, im level 5 with 11 weapon.(but i just got resserected twice today, had about 30 forest fights ^^) 8)
My point is... the success and speed of anyone is pretty random, and ia bounty is a good reason to take a risk.
And if someone was placing boutnies on me all the time, I would take it a little personal(in the roleplaying sence(ie, my character would, not me))
Bribing Dag to take the bounty off???i never really thought of that.
But why would he listen to you when someone has already paid him twice what your offering? I suppose we could leave it up to Mr RNG to decide after youve handed over the cash.
It would be funny if he took your gold and put half of it as a bounty on yourhead to protect himself.

you know, that could be a good outcome. since Dag keeps, what, 20%, as an amount, you could offer him 25-50% of the bribe amount to keep yourself alive, with a 5-10% chance of Dag upping the bounty on your head rather than removing it.
one problem i see offhand is that if the bounty is already on the board, then it's likely that someone's already gunning for you, and removing the bounty will only make them confused at best, and angry enough to set their own bounty at worst.
maybe if it's set up to YOM someone if a bounty is placed on their head, and then you have the option to bribe Dag or just roll with it.

I dont like the idea of YOMing the player.
First reason, it means they will know there is a bounty on their head. The way it is set up now, only the paranoid, or the bounty hunters know when there is a bounty on their heads. I dont have a real substantial dispute to this appening, i just dont like it.
Second if there aren't many people online, then the player cound infer who had placed the bounty based on the amount of gold. Thus opening a pandora's box of trouble. They can check the time of the message and the daily news to see who was online. I suppose though it could be done to mail the message when the bounty goes active, and hide the actual time, but then the time difference would have to be random (this time the trouble would be in ther code)

I dont see this as a problem, if you're too slow to take off the bounty thats your own problem. If another bounty is placed on your head, well then maybe you should take the first hint and hurry up and remove the second bounty.
