I know this is a secret and all, but my native language isn't english, so how am I supposed to answer those riddles ?
I just had the riddle something with "a spring and then 3 walls and u see water" or something.
I answered waterfall, but that was wrong, so I don't understand the riddle at all.
All I know is thaty it has soemthing to do with water, but other then that I wouldn't even dare to take a guess.

if this to much of a help you can erase this but Askjeeves is really helpful
you can either enter it in as a question (sometime they will be able to give yuo a straight out answer) or just a topic and they will give yuo a list of sites relating to that and on the right side there are other topics related

*would never use a search engine to search for the answers for riddles. She would also not know any sites that *cough Thieves Guild cough* that would know the answers to riddles. *
See I'm perfectly innocent.

oh god, your allowed to cheat at anything anywhere anytime: school, sport, saving the world, if some tells you that they have never cheated in there whole life then they either:
1) spent there whole life in a coma
2) are lieing
3) trying to sell you something
...your allowed to cheat at anything anywhere anytime...
It's not cheating. It's research.

I didn't say : "I didn't know we were allowed to look it up" blooddragon,
I said : " I didn't know we were able to find the solution" ;)
But u are right, if anybody says they never cheated, they're lieing :P
And I don't see this really as cheating, it would be if the riddles were purely LotGD related, so u had to guess for it.
But as I understand it, the riddles are known outside of LotGD and that's why ur able to find them on the net.
I didn't know they were known riddles.

I admit that I use Thesaurus.com a lot when talking fancy...(Do you think I thought of the word 'metrist' all by myself? Nooooo). I just happen to memorize how to spell 'thesaurus' because I used it so much..I think my old spelling was 'thesaris' or something like that.

You could just go to dictionary.com then select the thesaurus radio "circle".
Edit: the normal word there gets filtered. Funny.

Voratus, BD's english is improving, and it is not from lack of trying. He does not use AOL speak, using "u" for "you" isn't bad english, it's sheer laziness
BD ignore him, you are doing fine.:)

I made a small page for the Mercenary Guild. List of members and stuff. It also includes the answers for the Forest Gnomes Riddle's. You can find the site at: http://night.shadowness.org/~rusty
Hope that helps. And yes Admins, I am making an acknowledgement link saying that logd.net hold the copyright on all logd content on my site.

Mmmm. I found a completely different way for "cheating". I tried and succeeded in running LotGD on my home computer. So now I have the whole database and I can look up the riddles there.
Here (http://217.75.148.166/riddles.php) is a list of all the riddles that were found in lotgd-0.9.8-prerelease.1.tar.gz ;o) I've put all the information that was in the riddles table, which means that the Author column is actually really filled with "System" ;o)) it's not my imagination.
