Dragons, Weapons and Armor

Hello. I would just like to know a few things...

Firstly, how do I encounter a dragon? I'm already level 11 but havent had a single DK yet.

Secondly, how do I get weapons and armor more powerful than those sold in the shops?

Really appreciate it if someone could answer my questions. A million thanks in advance ^^

You've probably heard this before if you've asked in the village, but you'll encounter the dragon when the time is right... just keep on going, you can't miss it... The shops sell the only equipment available to you, though you can get it modified slightly in the forest if you're lucky, though their wares may change after you've met the dragon and won
