As dissatisfied as I was with the new feature, I am one hundred times as upset with you locking my poll because you don't want to "entertain dialogue" at this time. Let the players have their say and their vote. We support this game, it's only fair.
No.
The poll was locked to give the new system a fair chance to be evaluated before anyone commented.
There is always a small vocal minority that complains whenever something is added that adds to the time between character creation and a dragonkill.
While I do want to have an open discussion on this subject, it has been active for less than 48 hours - not enough time for anyone to form a proper opinion.
Am I forbidding any discussion ever on the subject? No.
I would just rather deal with people who have not been able to find the dragon for a week as opposed to people who think they *may* not do so.

As one of several players who have gone four game days without being able to find the dragon, I can guarantee that this isn't going to cool down in a week, it's going to heat up as players become more and more frustrated. I'm betting that the messages will be angrier on Monday than they would be today.
Then we will have many players with legitimate complaints that we can discuss at that time.
Until then, there is not going to be any change to the game regarding this module, and any discussions are pointless.
I realize that it is frustrating, but patience is sometimes required.

Even if you won't consider changing it for a week, discussion is never pointless.
45 people have viewed that poll in the less than two hours since I posted it. People obviously want to speak out. How do you think they feel when they see that their best way to do so has been cut off by the powers that be? How would you feel?

acutally i think having to hunt for the green one is better because by the time i was a squire it was really easy beating the dragon that i didnt even really have a chance of losing
I really don't want to keep locking topic after topic about this.
Any discussions about this module will need to wait a few days.

:decides to sit quietly for a few days before saying anything with regard to her viewpoint on the new feature in order to give it time to be evaluated and put through its paces as she realizes this site is in *beta* mode and respects jcp's request to hold off on dialogue. she sucks on an ice cube to quell the ache from biting her tongue
