Ok, new forum thread type: FEATURE FEEDBACK

This is a beta site and we're not getting a lot of feedback - so I'm going to try to drag it out of you.

I set up threads on some of the newer features, but this will serve as an "everything else" thread so we catch up.

The only item I can think of right away that I don't want comments on is the "monthly server costs" fundraiser bar and associated benefits. We haven't had that one long enough to fairly evaluate it (maybe once we fail to meet the goal...).

Note that while we certainly do want your opinions and feedback, that's only one small part of our decision process - there are a LOT of other factors involved, and just because you give an opinion does not mean we will follow your ideas.

We want to listen to you, but we're still going to make our own decisions.

Oh, and this is for feedback on things already in the game. For "brand new" things that you want added, please go to the feature request board.

Yeah, i know that you don't want comments on the benefits, but i had to say this: I think it is smart to put a limit on the discount for healing, otherwise it is possible that eventually the costs will be rediculously low. for example, the donations are now at 194%. If we round up like you do for the number of forest fights added, we would now have 50% off the price of healing. And it's only the 5th! :shock: Just think of what it'll be like at the end of the month!

there is a limit. you can only get up to 10% off healing.

has anybody gotten events while traveling i did i petitioned it and sneakabout said they were putting events into travels and thats cool but maybe have some new events for it like your lost

it is now possible to write special events for travelling. We just haven't had time to write or convert them yet.

cool thats awsome but how many people petioned it when it happened is a real question because not many people know about this thing do they?

hey, it's supposed to be fun when you run into something new that you didn't know about before =P

I think there were a few petitions.. mostly confirming that it was now possible to have specials in travel.

A new shop? Yeah, you'll need to know about it to visit, so we'll announce it.

A new special/way to trigger specials? No, you don't need to know about it to visit, so there's no need for an announcement (usually).

I think there are a couple of events that can now happen while travelling, yes. I don't consider "existing specials appearing in travel from now on" enough of a drastic change to bother MOTDing it... but there will be some new ones added as we get to it. The change came about when Saucy decided she wanted specials, Kendaer and Booger finding the code to half-do it, and MightyE re-doing it especially for travel. So it was a collaborative effort.

I only have had the glowing stream as a travel special, or is that the only one something special implented in travel?

At this time, yes, but there will be others.. It's just code work that we haven't had time to do yet.

Actually I believe Central now has a handful that can appear as you move about. Most are specials you have already seen in the forest, but we would like to make a few of them unique to travel in future.

No Saucy, only one special has been converted.. Trust me on that one :)
