I want to know your mount suggestions because i want to know who thinks that (insert creature(s) here) is good. I think Shadhahvar rocks, Wyvern is bad, and Nightmare is good.

I think you would be likely to find people like different ones depending on the way they play.. for instance, I currently enjoy my cheetah.

Also, some people dont have certain creatures yet, like I havn't seen a cheetah.

This is a very incomplete list, how do you expect to get an accurate vote? Also, not all servers have the same mounts and familiars, and the same one can be very different on different servers (like the Phoenix - very different on Dragoncat as opposed to Central).

For what it's worth, I love Ash (my nightmare) and wouldn't trade him for anything at the moment.

I used War Horse for DKs 1-8. It was great for then! Wyvern is better, Peryton absolutely owns, and the Gryphon is, dare I say it? Godly.
That's all I've used, besides a few lowbie mounts (gelding, stallion, etc).

Well, with my two main characters I have one with a gryphon and one with the hybrid ettile. They each suit the playing style of their character. I have owned quite a few mounts over time, but my choices were I to do it again... Pony, War Horse, Wyvern, Gryphon/Ettile. This was essentially Trogdor's route, though he had many more of the lower familiar mounts.
Though I will say that the roc is a fantastic middle-priced mount, and even the nightmare has cool features. I owned a phoenix, a valkyrie, and a basilisk with Solomon, and I definately preferred the phoenix.
I guess my main point is that the best mount available isn't always what's best for you.

It seems to me that with as many mounts as there are, it would be advisable to have an "other" choice in the poll, for my creature that is my favorite is not one of the choices.

Really enjoying the basilisk as my character is all attack. I usually end up with about 70% FF.
On a "per gem" basis, I believe the Roc provides the greatest value or "bang for the gem." I was dissapointed in the Peryton, it wasn't worth 100 gems - just should have kept saving for the Gryphon.
Not sure if I should dump gems on a Gryphon or wait for the Ettile. Suggestions?

Either the gryphon or the ettile is definately worth the gems. Just which one to choose is the hard part.

:smiles mischievously
between the gryphon and the ettile, i dost believe one is more suited for someone with a very high number of dks as they require more experience to reach level two. having more opportunities for flawless fighting early is what one of these provides.

and as for what i tried to design...
i hoped to fit it into the middle between them, or for those that prefer less meat on them

I think it is pretty good for now because it gives me a (delightful word) load of buffs.

On low DK, my favourite is still the winged cat. Very useful when you begin at level 1. I've owned a cow, a donkey, a winged cat, a shadhavar, a nightmare and now a roc. Nightmare is ok, but I don't die that much, so it was not very suited to me. I definitely hated the shadhavar, it made me sweat all the time when surveying my hitpoints! The roc is a bit new, so I don't yet have an opinion.

I could do my Dwayne Johnson impersonation just to emphasize how much the roc, well, rocks, but I think you've already seen it in Central anyway.

The Roc I enjoyed a lot, but currently liking the Wyvern more. However, perhaps its just me, but the valkyrie was more a detriment than a help. Sorry but I don't need something to make me weaker and heal my enemies sometimes...but maybe I'm just unlucky and don't see the positives.

the 'trouble' your having with the valc, is that your actually Too good.
it's simmilar to the nightmare in that way

I only like the nightmare now, because of a certain feature. I dont die as much anymore, so that particular benefit is of no use. So I wait paitently for the Gryphon. Only a few more DK's to go...

I'd like it if I could buy a custom mount through the Hunter's Lodge. As the leader of the Pug Riders of Degolburg Clan, the only fitting mount for me would ge a giant riding pug.

This thread is old, and we have enough mounts already.
You can name your mount in the Hunter's Lodge.
It is not possible to code a different mount just for anyone who pays for one. Way too much work, sorry! :)
