And this current series of posts has caused us to review the code again.

We are exceptionally confident that we are getting random specials.
Not to go off on you high-up guys... I appreciate all the work you have put into the game, and that you've even double-checked the code (eek!) to make sure the random specials are indeed, random.. but perhaps a certain outcome of a certain special is not occuring so randomly...? :?

This may be a bit of a spoiler, so I'm going to put the following in smallish, yellow-font. My observations have been...




Whenever I encounter the save-the-prince special, I usually select Draco's Dungeon. I have hardly had a bad outcome in several (real-life) weeks' worth of selecting Draco's for this special. I think this should be looked at to see if it is indeed random chance or if one place is more favored than the others for a good outcome, because I have even changed my race and I am still getting favorable results each time I select the Dungeon.

I will state flatly that choosing Draco's dungeon does not have a better nor worse chance of a good event happening than any other option you might choose.

Feel free to repeat your testing by continually choosing some other option and I'm sure you'll discover this in time.

just wait for bad luck or the rng to turn on you dracos dungeon and the other places end up bad for me so often i dont even try that event and i read the yellow easy by highlighting it

Just so you know, that's the point. If you want to know the game secret, highlight it, if you don't want to know, then don't. :wink: :)

Hmm, okay. I was wondering if I was just being overly suspicious given the other things that have come up lately. Thank you very much for the official word on this, Moonchilde.

I may try the other options if I start having an unfavorable season with the RNG gods sometime soon, but for now I will keep the strategy that seems to work best for me. :wink:
