The tethers should keep you from going TOO far. But the jet streams up there can push this thing a little fast sometimes, so be careful if you crash in a forest somewhere.

Buttercup parts with 10 shiny objects in order to go "Whee!".

Waugh heads to the bathroom to partake for no charge.

That's right, step right up one and all! The world's first, and as far as I know only, multi-winged glider that can generate its own thermals!

*Finishes his current potion project, and on the "Volunteers Wanted" table he leaves a vial of the potion next to a tray of cookies*

Okay, if this works it'll either give you a third arm for half an hour, or it'll turn one of your arms invisible.

I'm working on a potion that'll grow an invisible arm, you see, and I felt I should tackle those two baby steps first.

Of course, that's assuming that it works and no side effects come up.

If I have two potions can I have two cookies?

Only if you take two different potions. For instance, you can have a "grow a third arm for half an hour" potion, and you can also have a "turn an arm invisible" potion. Heck, that may prove that I can do both at once anyway, so why not take three for the price of two?

:exercises his power as a consumer, and forms a one-man picket outside the tent, shouting "I would have brought a torch and pitchfork, but the gondola man took all my gold!" :D

Buttercup pouts at the price gouging and joins Furry's picket line.

Sorry, but times are tough, you know? Most people just save their gold entirely for weapon or armor, or possibly food, drink and rooms at the inn. Without this gondola, my inventions wouldn't even pay for themselves.

However, this is a fixed rate. None of that fancy "increase price with level" stuff like they try to pull at certain other fine establishments in the realm. 10 gold, even if you're a step away from a DK.

That's worth seven cookies if I can figure out what it means! It shouldn't have worked like that. I think you've discovered a new and wonderful law of physics!

Can you tell me *exactly* which potions you drank?

*Jumps onto a vacant air gondola, and tries to fly up to intercept Jack*

Hang on, I'm coming!

:drifts slowly upwards:

OK and bring the cookies too I might need something to weigh me down

*The gondola stops, pauses in midair and begins to sink*

Hang on! I'm coming back down to get the cookies so that I can come back up there!

:flaps in an attempt not torise:

Uhhh sure I'll just hang about somehow... anyone got a rope or an...

:finally remembers he is weilding an anchor and lowers it slowly down with the chain:

*With cookies in hand, he begins ascending again. Suddenly, an anchor lowers from above into his gondola, pushing it back down*

Well, that's....um....that's something you don't see everyday....

*Begins pulling on the anchor chain with his hands and, to speed things up, his tail as well*

Just make sure you grab a railing or something to stabilize your mad dash for cookies.

:grabs a railing with one hand and reaches for the cookies with the other... incidentally letting go of the rest of the chain:

Um, you know...in the mad dash to get up here before you played Icarus, I forgot about concocting an antidote. Give me five minutes once we get back to Earth.

*Begins descending the gondola*

I just thought you wanted the cookies to munch on the way down. Heh-heh....silly me.

:flips himself round and hooks his foot under the rail due to his kilt while he munches cookies:

*The gondola lands, and Affy begins putting together antidotes to the various mixed potions*

:taps his foot almost floating away as he waits:

If it doesn't stop it, then it'll probably be the first step in a long, possibly painful, series of tests and experiments that will eventually yield a solution.

*Injects some cookies with what he hopes is an antidote*

*Raises an eyebrow in alarm and quickly mixes some other things*

Can't be too far from a recovery now...here, try this pigment alligner...

You look fantastic! Now then, how to get you down to Earth....

Either you're filled with some sort of lighter-than-air substance since you drank all those potions at once, or you yourself have become lighter than air. As the atmospheric conditions at the moment would probably crush a normal person to death, it's reasonable to assume that you'd at least feel some mild discomfort if you yourself were that light being a battle-hardened adventurer. So I expect the former to be the case.

*Carefully mixes some ingredients*

Based on the potions you drank, I think that this antidote has the best shot at transfering this lighter-than-air substance into something denser, a great deal of citrus and water. And you'll probably have a fever for an hour or so.

If I'm *WRONG* then there shouldn't be much bad happening.

So remember: you get a fever if you're cured.

*Offers the potion*

Just a simple chemical reactions, one product of which should be a great amount of heat. Nothing that our physiology can't handle in the long run, but the short term effects may be difficult. I recommend drinking lots of water.

"Umm... Hi, is there room for one more by any chance? she asks the tent flap.
