Gem question

If this was asked before I apologize asking it again..I haven't played LOGD in a loooong time, and I remember I was once able to trade my gems in for gold,
and I was wondering if that option still existed, like if it's somewhere or I have to run into that kind of event or something..?

If you're playing on the 'official' servers, then you can't by or sell gems. You might find other servers that do allow you to have that option, but I haven't found any yet. Or... well... there was one, but it's gone now.

It was something I had the ability to do on Maddrio, but I'm not sure whether that server still exists; I let my character expire a while back. A guy named Robert was admin over there.

Yes, Maddrio is still alive and well. Robert runs that as well as a few other highly customized versions of the game.

Oh good, I'm glad about Maddrio. I had to leave simply because I couldn't beat his lvl 18 dragons. Yes, dragons.

And I forgot he also has a King Arthur server and Legend of the Fuzzy Rabbit or some such... probably others I can't remember or don't know about. He's quite good with the custom mods, I gather.
