I saw Gelding in the Bestiary for purchase of 10 gems, but I wondered what a Gelding was...
Description: This powerful beast is fiercely loyal.
I searched it up on Wikipedia and bout threw up at the thought of what a Gelding is...
They even had pictured on Wikipedia of the process of a Gelding being made...

In my opinion it's a pitiful beast....

Can't it be called something more sensible like just a Horse / Mule or something along thoes lines...

Calling it a Gelding might get more people wanting to know what it is, and then they find out on Wikipedia like I did, and just get disgusted...

What about the kids that play...

What about the kids that play? Kids need to learn stuff too. It's worried or shy parents that bring up ignorant kids. Just because something might not be pretty, doesn't mean you shouldn't learn about it :)

As to your question, seeing as you looked at Wikipedia and read further than the part about castration, which, I can only assume you did, and not just look at the pictures, it says:

"Castration, and the elimination of hormonally-driven behavior associated with a stallion, allows a male horse to be calmer and better-behaved, making the animal quieter, gentler and potentially more suitable as an everyday working animal."

Which is what makes it loyal, plus the creatures would still have muscles and all it's brain cells, which would make it more focused and powerful.

Like the difference between two men of the exact same age, region, ethnicity, strength and muscle mass etc. but one is a backyard fighter and one is a boxer, the boxer would win based perhaps just on his discipline. Much in the same way that a Gelding would be a better work horse than a horse or a mule.

It's been a long while since I had a Stallion in game, so I forget what that level of creatures does, but the Stallion was slightly better if I remember rightly.
