The simple way to keep it from affecting dk speed records would be to limit it to a number of days after the previous dk- I'm going to throw out 7 as a rough figure, since 3-5 seems to be the norm among speed records.

How about just have unused forest fights carry over to the next login?

For example, I log in on Monday. I have fifteen forest fights for whatever reason. I use all but five. I don't login until Thursday. Instead of fifteen, I have twenty.

Yes, technically they could just log in once every twelve hours and then log back out, but it wouldn't do them any good because they wouldn't be getting anything accomplished.
