Default Patching

I wasn't sure where to put this so ..

When the new version comes out i dont want to have to re do all my mods again and have to delete over my files when uploading so is there going to be an instruction document for patching the game so to speak ?

Unfortunately there really isn't any way to patch it.
You're going to need to redo your mods. However, we intend (fully since it's already being worked on) to have a much better system in place to allow user modules. In general this will hopefully mean you can just drop a module's PHP file in and it will just work.

One word: Documentation

When you make a mod, create a file that lists all the changes you make to the various other files in the game. That way, when a newer version rolls out, you don't have to reinvent the wheel and troubleshoot problems you've solved before.

That will make your life a lot easier, but you also need to be prepared to troubleshoot your previously happy mods if the newer game version doesn't handle some things like it did before.

I've started doing just that, myself. I have a text file with the different changes I've done, and under each change I list the files used, and what section to look for to implement changes.
Gonna be very handy when and if I have to go back and redo them for the next version.

But hey, I guess that comes with the territory.
