Language bug? Also for "pirate" speech on Sep. 19

Ok, my site seems to be translating wrong. Here is text taken directly from the village area. I have it set to english and have not changed a thing. When I went to bed it was working fine and when I woke up this is the sort of garbage I see everywhere, take a look:

Theer veerillageer hoorustleses and bustles. Bork bork. No oneer really noticeses that you'reer standingenen there. You seeer veerariouses shopses and businesseses alongenen mainen street. Bork bork. Thereer ises a curiouses lookingenen rock to oneer side. Bork bork. Onen every sideer theer veerillageer ises surrounded by deep dark forest.

If it really bugs you that much, go into your preferences and set the "Disable holiday related text replacements (such as ale => egg nog for December)" to Yes, and it will go away.

I don't see that option in my preferences anywhere. Btw, I'm talking about on my server and I'm running 0.9.7. Is there a way to disable it globally so my users don't have to deal with it since they can't disable it in the version I'm running?

A few options I can think of right away:

1. Set server clock to April 2.

2. Set game settings to offset server clock so it's April 2.

3. Edit the file (main.php, I think). Search for "bork" to find the code, and then comment it out.

The holiday languague filters are much easier to deal with in the next version and have been moved out of main.php to a separate file.

Don't really want to alter the dates and I can't locate main.php anywhere in my lotgd folder. Any idea which one to look in and search for Bork?

My mistake - try common.php.

in 0.9.7, this was found in common.php, right.

Locate this line:

function borkalize($in){

and add this right after it:

     return $in;

This will disable the sweedish chef talk. This will go away on its own BTW on April 2.

Found it in common.php before checking back here and just changed the date to one that does not exsist. Its working fine now. Thanks for the speedy responses!

Talk Like a Pirate Day and all other serverwide text modifications distributed with the core releases have been turned into modules as of 0.9.8

Server admins can now deactivate the "holiday" speech by turning off the appropriate module.
