Your friend is lying, or merely inattentive. It does do something, but not immediately.

Aye. One must pay close attention to learn everything that has happened to oneself. There are certain times when much information is displayed all at once, and very few actually take the time to read it...

That, my friend, is something that you must learn for yourself. As it says in the FAQ - some things are just better found out by exploration and personal discovery. Perhaps your friend can return the favor - and maybe you may be attentive enough to notice the result? It's not immediate, however, so most people forget and miss the result.

I have a quick problem that I would love a little advice on if anyone has some suggestions. I have best weapon and armor am level 14 with 40kxp, I have challenged my master about 12 times now and lose each time I have 0 DK I am allowed no buffs and yes I have already used drinks to raise HP... Anyone have some helpful advice? This is beginning to drive me about nutters!!!

Odd.... hmm, do you have full HP when you go into the fight?
Do you have a blue EXP bar when going in to fight? What is 'best' armour (which apparently, only I can spell correctly) and weapon? 15 grade for both is the best.

Yes I have full HP and I have even gone in with 20 extra HP twice now. Also yes I have grade 15 armor and weapon. Oh and yes I have a blue XP bar, the master has even sought me out and challenged me.

ALRIGHT 13th times the charm only took getting an extra 45 hp finished the fight dang near on "E"...
