How to use this board

Hello, and welcome to the semi-automated Newbie Forum board.

Consider this board an expansion of the in-game FAQ, with lots of extra space for detailed responses.

Answers to common questions or petitions are posted here by the forum administrators for easy reference. Feel free to browse or use the search function.

Note that while players from many servers use these forums, we can only provide official responses for the following official servers:

We also provide some support to:

• MightyE's Development Server (Alpha Server), http://logd.mightye.org

Note: This is MightyE's testing server. Things are subject to change rapidly, there's a high chance of broken code, and you may periodically lose your character. Most of the code MightyE works on is tested there, but not all new code funnels through there first. The Help Desk Answers for Central generally apply there, but not all (for example, as a smaller server the mulitple villages module is not activated.)

For any other servers, you will need to contact your site admins for assistance.

If you are curious as to how something works or why something happens:

1. Please consult the answers on this board first.

2. If the answer you want is not found, please ask your question in any of the following places, in order of preference:

• This forum, in the Village Square/gameplay board - other players may be able to help.
  Filing a petition on the site where you play.
  Contacting a staff member by in game YOM (Ye Olde Mail) / forum PM (Private Message).

If something is wrong:

1. Please consult the MotD (Message of the Day) first. We may already be aware of the problem and working to fix it.

2. Please consult the answers on this board next - which may tell you to file a petition.

3. File a petition on the site where you play.

Petitions:

It is usually much easier to answer petitions if you are logged in when you submit them, because we capture some character information. So please, if possible, log in before petitioning.

Also, please remember that you cannot log in, due to an error or ban, you must provide a valid email address so we have a way of contacting you. Without giving us some way of contacting you outside of the game, we cannot do so.
