GemDust RED Tourney Settings BEGINS SEPTEMBER 12

If any of you have unspent winnings from the previous tourneys please send a petition in game. Red is a semi-intense server and you will need a good solid hour a day to compete. It will take you longer if you read every screen.

In a nutshell:

Tournament begins SEPTEMBER 12. Join now to get to know the place. There are 15 turns per game day and the game days last 12 hours, just like Central, but the new day is at a different time.

You can join now - and get in - and play - but the dragon will not be in the cave until September 12. Jump in now and play turns and get to know how it is set up. If you miss the start, it's ok - once the tourney opens you get a magical ***Rejuveminate*** button that you can hit every time you die, to help you catch up! (It will disappear once you get your first dragon kill.)

All gems are lost when the tourney starts and get your first dragon kill. You will be given 5 bonus gems. Your hitpoints will be reset to base. Petra cannot be seen until you get your first kill.

The tournament goes for 30 game days. Each time you log in it will tell you (for example, This is day 5 of the tourney, of 30 days). At the end of the tourney, you will be dead as soon as you log in =) But you will be able to get to your YOM, and so on, and see where you ended up. I will post the winner on the main GemDust.com site. They get 1000 donator points to spend on any other tourney on the site.

You start with 200 gold. Who cares if it is not balanced and too generous? Go nuts with it. And you can borrow more, too. Slay five people a day, but it won't get you as much experience as you are used to on Central, because this tourney is about strategy, not luck in finding a target.

Gardens are gone. There is only one town (Red City). You won't see the same mounts. You won't see all the specials either or shops. Four base races only (Storm Giant and Felyne aren't there because they require other towns).

Am I breaking a game secret here by asking how is it some players can resurrect without dying?

Uh? They can't. The only thing they can do is use the rejuvenimate, and only until the first DK.

I noticed one or some of the players resurrecting without the dying bit and I think it's stonehenge or the stream where it doesn't actually say on your Bio you died. That's what I think was going on.

Um, might be different on that tornament server but dying from anything appears in your bio doesn't it?

That's what confused me. It never said on his bio what he died from, just that he resurrected.
And it was after the first DK so it was not the rejuvimation button which you don't resurrect from anyway.

Not everything shows in the bio. Strictly speaking, death is something that SHOULD appear, but you have to specifically code it into the module to make it appear, and some module coders don't. I never have added it that I can remember - which is bad, but I suppose most coders are more concerned with checking for bugs and so on. If you're asking about a particular player, send a petition, because these things are usually recorded in the player's log, and I can check it at the admin side of things.

It's over now Lauri and I'm sure it was perfectly legal because this isn't the kind of player that would play otherwise. If it happens again in the future where I can take a screenshot I will and send it to you.

Just as a bump for all, this tourney has been postponed for a couple of weeks - seems like everyone is busy in Blue and with RealLifeâ„¢ so we will leave it and give people a chance to join up.
