Umm, thought - if there is any real hope of getting the game in, maybe we should think about character creation in advance. But I don't know how that would all work...

Why does it take so long to even start a game? that seems crazy :S

Well, it is alot faster if you have your characters made. There's the whole aspect of plotting out a campaign, though. Getting your dungeon set up, deciding on a rough plot, and which monsters to include
![]() Though I've never played... *sad* I've been told that a good game is lead by an excellent story-teller - that way, you can REALLY be engaged in the roleplay.

I've known people to do this sort of stuff for real, dress up and count points against each other in a field with spells and stuff, If I was able to stand up for long then i'd be interested in that
Sounds rather fun to me. |

Isn't the term "larp" for that? I haven't heard of anyone doing that, quite yet. Although there is the Society for Creative Anachronisms... but that's a bit different.

Larp? never heard of it, but having just looked it up, yeah it seems that thing indeed and I have seen it on TV before.
I know of this due to this show - http://tinyurl.com/3atya2 (link to Youtube) It's the first 3 parts on the list, it's pretty funny I thought and only 30 minutes long. The basic premise of the series was taking a comedian then emersing them into a place they are not used to (such as a Larp or a rough gang related neghbourhood in a different episode), they then have to produce an onstage comedy act based off the time they have spent there. Dara 0'Brien has the Larp one. ![]() |

I greatly enjoyed the D&D games such as Heroes of the Lance, Hillsfar, and Curse of the Azure Bonds for my Commodore 64 back in the day. Hillsfar and Azure Bonds were my favorite, because it was part of a trilogy. The characters you create in the first game, Pools of Radiance, must fight an evil force. Upon completing the game, your characters take up a search for further adventure in the neighboring town, Hillsfar. After completing Hillsfar, your characters travel further south to a town called Tilverton, I believe, to look for the king's missing daughter. In route, you are ambush, and when you wake up, your characters have tatoes on their arms. When they glow, you are being controlled by evil forces. It ends up that the evil force you defeated in the first game has come back in the third, and you must search the realm for a cure. You can play each game as a stand along game, or transfer your characters from one game to another.

I read the story, but got totally sidetracked by the LEGO: Builders of Tomorrow contest link at the bottom right of the screen.
