MotD: Translations please
By @Director Emeritus jcp
I've said this before, but apparently it needs repeating.
The only times foreign (real or imaginary) languages are allowed on the public areas (i.e. non-clan hall boards or bios) is (1) a non-native english speaker is asking for help or getting a translation or (2) you are providing a translation.
I know speaking elvish or drow is all in-character roleplaying, but it excludes those players who don't know that language. There's a roleplaying solution of a translation spell that affects the village.
I like the roleplaying and want to encourage it, but without a translation it's nothing more than a secret code that only a few people know, and that's not fair.
Bluntly, I expect to see english translations when foreign languages are used in any public place (village, garden, bios, etc.). If you don't provide a translation, you risk being banned.
Your cooperation is appreciated.
I'm reposting this as there seems to be a growing number of people that need to see it. - kickme
